What's app notification

Got a pop up on my laptop as I have WhatsApp on there. The message popped up displaying the word Private.
When I went to check it out later ( was in a meeting so couldn't click on it straightaway, there was nothing there. No new message, no message saying "Private". I know I didn't imagine it as it happened a couple of weeks ago. My friend had it happen to her too. Thoughts?

Do you have locked chats?

You get notifications for locked chats but they appear with no details.

What are locked chats?
