Today, the Government has issued a request from all of us - patients, practitioners, everyone - to send in suggestions to 'help fix the NHS'

What are you going to suggest ?

It’s been targeted by pranksters - some quite funny replies

Shame, as I think it has a lot to be said for it.

A bit disappointed there wasn't more opportunity to suggest ideas though.

I'd research how they run things in Spain.

When PIL were there an ambulance turned up in less than 10 minutes, they were seen in the equivalent of A&E within an hour an the consultant appointments were 2-3 weeks later. Several times!

According to ONS Spain spends slightly less per head of population than we do, so it's not about the budget.

I wondered if it was because the costs could be charged back to the NHS but no. We know 3 people permanently in Spain (and are Spanish) and that is the norm for them.
