Dreamt I caught my DP and Best friend sleeping together on my wedding night

As the title says, I've just woken up from a dream where I caught my long term DP and Best friend sleeping together on our wedding day.
I've never had a dream like that, and it was truly horrendous. Why would I dream something like that, my best friend lives on the other side of the world. It was so unexpected and it's really taken a toll on me this morning. I know it's only a dream, but I can't shake the feeling!

Try to laugh at it OP, it was a dream. Neither of your friends are doing the dirty.

I think dreams often express anxiety, but not always directly. So you could be anxious about work, then have this dream for example. They are not real, just the brain playing around with things in down time.

Are you anxious about anything at the moment (the wedding planning maybe?)

Whenever I’m feeling particularly anxious, I have a recurring dream that I’ve missed the coursework element for a whole year of the degree I finished years ago and have failed the course.
