I am going to Canary Islands next month
I have just read they are introducing EES instead of stamps in and out of country
Do we have to do anything ?
Apply for anything ?
Bit confused

You don't need to do anything in advance. The visa isn't being introduced until next year and is separate from EES

When EES is introduced, you will need to create a digital record on your first visit to the Schengen area at the port or airport on arrival. You will be required to submit your fingerprints and have your photo taken at dedicated booths. You will not need to provide any information before travelling to a Schengen area country.

@dementedpixie Thankyou
I think I have been confused with EES and visas

If you've been to the US, this is part of the process there too. It used to be done by the immigration agents at the desk, but last time we went, it was done at self-service booths before going to the desk.
