Anyone else interested in old re-runs of Crimewatch and then following the case, and have one in particular that stands out?!

(TW discussing crime. I appreciate not everyones cup of tea so scroll on by if something that you don’t appreciate)

A few years back when my husband had to go away from work I become quite obsessed with watching old episodes of Crimewatch…

There was a slight side to it that was (weirdly) nostalgia for me as remember the intro and my parents watching it when I was younger but I mostly liked that I could go and research the case and follow it on from the programme, years on, especially when there was an arrest at the end of it.

There are however some reconstructions that stand out more than others and will still regularly pop into my head and make me really wonder how it wasn’t solved, one of which happened today.

The murder of Alan Leopard in what seemed like a targeted hit. So many strange details in the case, the very non discreet American Cadillac in such a rural area, the very noisy weapon of choice, the smart business man that had turned up weeks before looking for Alan and of course his fiancé Debbie Griggs being murdered 8 months later..

Does anyone else remember this case or have another that sticks to mind.

I have one that sticks in my mind. I remember the reconstruction showed a man running out the front door ( there were steps straight onto the pavement in London) and a young female had been murdered. I often wonder if it was solved, but I’ve no other clue than the bit of the programme I remember.

No I don’t, but now you have suggested it I might start! There are some cases that I always wonder about (not from Crimewatch but in general). The one I always wonder what actually happened about is the British family and a passing cyclist who were murdered in the French Alps. It appeared to be a targeted hit and I always wondered why. It was awful.

@GretchenWienersHair I watched a documentary on that case a few months back, still no further forward in why.

There was implications that the brother of one of the victims was involved but he was on the programme being interviewed and I wasn’t convinced, I think possibly wrong place wrong time.

Not OP, but I went through a period of watching them on YouTube. There are tons on there.
