Christmas wreath

Today, I have seen one of these on the front door of somebody's home. I kid you not. It's 17th October FGS. Unless there is a very urgent or pressing reason or extraordinary circumstances that have led to this, I don't know what to say.

I’ve seen an autumn wreath on someone’s door today, but even the neighbours that put Christmas decorations up when their Halloween ones come down aren’t that premature!

Are you sure it's actually a Christmas one? Our local florist has some Dutch autumn wreaths with berries and fruits and door wreaths at other times of year have been becoming more popular.

It had baubles.

Wow. That's quite something.
A bit early for that sort of thing really. They love wreaths where I am in the North. Lots of Halloween themed ones at present. I have a uPVC door and it would not look right and I can't be bothered.

Maybe they have family in the military who will be posted and are having an early celebration?

Or maybe they just love Christmas?

Why are you judging?

MYOB.

My Halloween wreath has baubles. Black and orange ones. I got it at John Lewis. It was sold alongside the skeleton “fairy” lights and cauldrons.

BUT I only put my decorations up for the one day……

@Ilovemyshed I'm passing comment on something in bizarre sight in full view of the public. If you think that equates to being judgmental then you crack on.

@TheTecknician

there are plenty of Autumn ones around, with baubles. What colours were they??

The whole tone of your post is judgemental and questioning - as if someone should DARE to have a Christmas decoration up before Christmas, qu'elle horreur!

I am merely pointing out that its really none of your business and there are many other reasons why they might.

By that logic it’s none of your business what a stranger feels about another strangers wreath…

Cremacreme · 17/10/2024 20:25

And if everyone minded their own business Mumsnet would cease to exist 😆
