Feel guilty relaxing ?

So I have 2 kids. DD is 3 end of the month, DS is 1 end of next month.

it’s my 1st week back at work and things are slow as it’s new work for the team so they’re just trying to find odd things for me to do which is minimal. I’m Wfh so have cleaned the house and now I’ve just lay down and it felt so nice my body is so sore. DS is still waking every 2 hours so I am drained. He’s got a cold since starting nursery which is bothering him bless him

but I felt guilty relaxing as my kids are in. Nursery? They both love the nursery and the staff are fantastic. I’ve been picking them up earlier while work is like this but I feel guilty now for having sit down with nothing to do

why is this??

it’s your first week back and it’s slow op

make the most of it as you could well come back to this thread in a fortnight and wonder why the heck you didn’t relish this time more!

Mum guilt is real, my kids are pretty much grown but I still feel it now. You are allowed "time off" try to enjoy it and think of it as a way of recharging your batteries so that you're on top form when you're with them.

DO NOT FEEL GUILTY. You deserve the rest !!! Your children are fine and cared for, enjoy the time when you have it, there are only ever pockets of down time when you have young children and you need to enjoy every second of it
