I started watching it as thought it was a comedy! It does have funny moments but was not what I expected. It is worth watching. Could you not just sign up for prime for a month and then cancel?

BillieJ · 15/10/2024 23:10

I really liked it, but not enough to buy it. Could you do a Prime trial if you really want to see it?

EmeraldRoulette · 15/10/2024 23:13

It’s very very good

you know it’s dark though right?

saved my Xmas day from being totally miserable too!

I liked it. It's weird and left-field but pretty compelling.

Ambienteamber · 15/10/2024 23:22

It depends what your taste in films is!
It's a gothic 'horror' which is also a black comedy satire. It's not horror in the gore or jump scare sense, altho there are some graphic sex scenes.
I really loved it but I love traditional gothic stories.
It's 'talented Mr Ripley' meets 'Theorema'

I loved it. I had no idea what it was about before I saw it and watched it on a friend's recommendation. It's a bit weird and yes, there is "that" scene (or 2/3!) but they could have done away with them and it still would have been great.

EngineEngineNumber9 · 16/10/2024 01:00

I loved it. Very memorable. If you’re a film fan you may notice references/ripoffs of other films but it’s just so good I didn’t care. Weirdly compelling.

username3678 · 16/10/2024 01:03

I really liked it.

CaneToad · 16/10/2024 01:06

Lovely seaside town, crap film. (But I was bored by Talented Mr Ripley too, it’s just not my thing at all.)

Livinginaclock · 16/10/2024 01:08

I loved it, well worth a watch.

Flandango · 16/10/2024 03:14

Bath cummy yum yum

I loved it and re-watched it out the wazoo for my 30-day Prime Video free trial.

While you're there watch "The Pursuit of Love", a three-part mini-series.

Hoglet70 · 16/10/2024 05:31

I didn't look at my phone once so that's a massive recommendation from me and my tiny concentration span.

InWithThePlums · 16/10/2024 05:34

I liked it. It’s an acquired taste though I suspect!

GameOfJones · 16/10/2024 07:38

It is worth a watch. I probably wouldn't watch it again but was glad I'd seen it.
