Hello all, just wondering if anyone have ever been through the same. i'm breastfeeding, and i keep getting thrush like non stop, every month i get it, and it's really uncomfortable, i've been like this since i got pregnant, and i don't think this is normal. when i was pregnant i done blood test and i haven't got hiv or nothing. but when my midwife tested me for thrush she said it was an heavy thrush episode, but the only thing she gave me was the canesten. and ofc im not gonna be buying it every single month as the product is kinda of expensive 16£ for a single treatment. i really don't know what else to do to get this better. any tips? anyone been through the same? share with me please, as im being paranoid as it could be something worse even though it's thrush symptoms and there's no chance that i could get a decease as im only with my partner

I've had recurrent thrush for 3 years, every couple of months and currently have had it for 3 weeks. I got prescribed weekly clotrimazole pessaries (literally amazing for the prescription price of £9 I got 24pessaries. however they have caused me a resistance and now they don't do anything! I was also prescribed 6 months of fluconazle, but I couldn't tolerate it. You could try asking for fluconazle and see if it helps you? You can by them over the counter too. I've also ordered probiotic oral tablets from VJJ, you have to take them for a few months before seeing it works. I've been doing a bit of reading on mumsnet about people using live active yogurt inside their vagina and apparently it's meant to be amazing. Might pop to the co op this afternoon to see if it helps...
