Strength, cardio or flexibility workouts?

I currently work out 5/6 times a week, strength training and running, tend to do 40 mins weights then either a 5 or 7k run. On Saturdays I just run, about 10k. I’m finding my flexibility is getting worse and as I’m 60 I know I need to do something about this.

should I swap some cardio sessions for either yoga or Pilates and if so which one is best? I do have a troublesome lower back.

How about swimming OP. Good cardio and also tones and makes you flexible all in one.
Good on you for being so active.

Yes, or, at the very least, learn some really good stretches. I go to a class called 'Stretch and Flex' and, apart from doing them at the weekly class, they are really easy to do at home - or, in your case, after a run.

There are so many different types of yoga. You have to find one that suits you, or that you enjoy. I think it can take a while to get in to it.

there's lots on line though, so you could try out some before committing to a class. Yoga with Adrienne is free quite popular.
