Evening everyone.
About half an hour ago I had a text from a random number saying it was Barclays and they were contacting me about a payment to Easyjet for £232.99, reply N if you did not request this.
I replied N and then thought oh god its a scam.....
Just now have a phone call from no caller ID so I answered, trying to play him at his own game. Man asked me if my name was XYX, I said im not telling you that. Then asked about the easyjet payment and if I had lost a card. I said I havent lost a card and yes I made the payment. I asked if he was from Barclays and he said 'of course. ' He asked why I had replied with the N and then he got a bit flustered and he hung up!
I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of years ago where someone tried to take my savings and now I feel so annoyed I didnt ignore the message but also angry at these people. I tried to call the number back and its not accepting calls.
Just need to rant!
