Do you pick up every cold/bug going round?

I do! I'm really sick of it. I have 3 small children and I'm surrounded by children at work. I seem to pick up everything and I am totally fed up!

If you have been in this position and managed to boost your immune system then please please tell me what you did to help.

FWIW I eat lots of fresh fruit and veg, take vitamin supplements and don't drink much. I am breastfeeding so can't take all the supplements around either.

Thank you!

I take vitamin C, zinc and echinacea in mega doses all winter. I rarely get ill even when everyone else does. Not drinking also helps (I don’t drink at all). I definitely notice that Dh, who does drink, though very moderate amounts is much more likely to get a cold than me.

Yes. I have two children 3 & 6, one goes to school, the other is in nursery.
They bring home a different virus/bug every week.

Whole family takes additional vitamin D from September onwards, I keep hand sanitizer by the front door and both kids are pretty good at covering noses/mouths when sneezing and coughing, same with hand washing. I think it's just unavoidable when you have young children unfortunately

Yep. I'm very careful and wash my hands etc, but still catch everything my DS has.
My DP on the other hand doesn't believe in hand washing / basic hygiene (oook slight exaggeration) and doesn't catch anything! Maybe the best medicine is exposure lol
I do seem to catch more stuff at certain times in my cycle, and have heard hormones can affect the immune system, so there's that.
