Cardigan help!

This time of year I love the thought of wearing cardigans, this sounds stupid but I just can’t work out what to wear underneath so it sits right?! I’m a size 14, medium size bust! Any tips , or any links to what top underneath could work?!

I like cardigans, I just wear a cotton teeshirt under them, or I get too warm.

For some reason I can’t seem to get the tshirt / cardigan to sit right though?! I know it sounds silly! Don’t know if it’s the size of my boobs but they aren’t that big! Do you tend to wear a fitted or loose tshirt underneath?

Mine are in-between type. I hate fitted they seem to move up on me, and too loose don't fit under things, so I get the straight ones, I have M&S and Lands End tees.
My new favourite cardie came from Debenhams online it's last season, it's super soft, Oasis pointelle cardigan.
I found you can't have too small a cardie or it won't sit right over anything.

How tight are your cardigans, OP? I agree with @MrsCarson, a tight-fitting cardigan just won't sit well over anything. I make my jumpers and cardigans fairly loose, so they go over anything - tees (long or short sleeved) or shirts. I don't wear dresses, so that's not an issue. What sort of tops do you prefer under them?
