There's a film about Donald Trump out at the moment, which seems unethical timing to me

I don't know much about the film, I expect it's reasonably complimentary towards Trump since he hasn't taken them to court to try and stop it. But either good or bad about him, I'm surprised it's allowed in the run up to an election.

Would it be allowed in any European country? Surely there would be rules against it. I know that it hasn't come up yet since there hasn't been a 'celebrity' candidate anywhere else (except possibly Zelensky) but America does have a history of celebrity politicians (eg Regan and Swartzenegger).

Given that a significant minority of Americans are inclined to believe fictionalised versions of history as fact, a fictional life-story film is bound to sway some one way or the other.

Has anyone seen it? What did you think?

Is it this one? Trump isn't too happy about it 😂

TBH, if he's not happy then I'm happier about it. I still think it's morally a bit dodgy to release it during the campaign process, I'm sure they've done it to maximise income as there will be less interest after he (hopefully) loses.
