We are an elderly couple, but last two years, next door neighbours, has started having parties, with about eight kids playing havoc in back garden, until 11pm we live in a semi, and the noise is quite bad, yet they never consider us ie letting us know their having a party. All we want is a quiet live.

Have you spoken to them? Are they renters or owners (ie if renters they probably have rules to follow)?

11pm is considered acceptable for parties/noise. At least it’s not going on until 2am.

The subject has nothing to do with your thread title by the way!

How often is this happening? Weekly, monthly?

Unfortunately the world doesn’t revolve around you and people have the right to live their lives.

Unless this is something happening constantly, you have to let it slide.

A few children playing in a garden every so often isn’t the end of the world.

Shut your windows, put on the tv or some music or move to a different room in the house if it bothers you that much.
