Read more. I read loads on holiday but never seem to have the time at home and I am knackered by the time I go to bed. Exercise - There was a time I used to go to gym, swim, run and walk regularly but it did take up so much of my free time. I have elderly parents now and have to help out a lot plus work full time - there just isn’t enough hours in the day for me - it’s worse than when the kids were little to be honest.

areallmotherslikethis · 12/10/2024 23:32

Take my kids out more

Keep on top of the house

Spend more time with my parents

FabulousPharmacyst · 12/10/2024 23:45

Watch absolute shitery on Netflix

Ellmau · 12/10/2024 23:47

Right now I'm thinking I'd sleep more.

mynameiscalypso · 12/10/2024 23:50

I'd quite like to go right back to the beginning of Grand Designs and watch them all from the start.

...why? That's not very nice. I know you're saying light hearted but attacking other women in your free time (who have said or done nothing to you) doesn't sound very nice, does it? You don't even know them.

I can't be doing with Instagram but that's a strange one.

I know that. It's just not a very nice thing to fantasise about doing to random women. I don't like all of the Instagram nonsense and the influencer stuff, but I don't know them personally. Neither do you.

Some people have posed quite nice ideas to fantasise about. Maybe pick one of them instead.

Cantfindanavailablename · 13/10/2024 08:29

More walking, more video games, tidier house, more craft with the kids, more audio books, bake more cakes, watch some netflix series to the end. Just usual mundane, boring, but enjoyable stuff.

FreshLaundry · 13/10/2024 08:30

Cook those fancy meals that take all the pans I own

Bake stuff

olderbutwiser · 13/10/2024 08:31

I retired so do have more time on my hands.

Having enough time that you can waste some doomscrolling Mumsnet is lovely.

endofthecorridoor · 13/10/2024 08:37

Use the sewing machine I bought 10 years ago and all the material I have plans for ........

darksideofthemoons · 13/10/2024 08:39

I'm obsessed with the TV programme forged in fire. So, if I had the time I would set up my own little forge in the garden and make things. I love the idea of creating something with my hands and all the bashing metal would be very therapeutic for going through peri 😆 I love the skill and craftmanship involved

101jobs · 13/10/2024 08:41

Learn how to knit and sew.

Bake more.

hockityponktas · 13/10/2024 08:47

Cook nice stuff

charlieinthehaystack · 13/10/2024 09:24

violetcuriosity · 13/10/2024 09:45

Probably have more sex if I'm honest 😂

BitOutOfPractice · 13/10/2024 09:49

Christ @GiddyRobin lighten up. I mean giving another woman you’ve never met a dressing down about making a jokey comment about a made up activity in a hypothetical situation isn’t exactly very kind either is it? 😂

cross stitch and sex Is my contribution. Not concurrently.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 13/10/2024 09:51

Build a model village in my garden and pretend I was a giant.

This site, I swear everyone is so literal now. Is there something in the water?

OhMaria2 · 13/10/2024 10:42

I'd love to go back to my natural sleeping pattern of 10am to 2am. But then I'd stay up stupidly late and enjoy ruining my life painting miniatures until 4 in the morning. Or I'd start doing art again.

But actually I just want to add gems and embellishments to Christmas cards untill they look a bit nuts and have time to sit and do it

SirChenjins · 13/10/2024 10:45

I would hire skip after skip after skip and throw out 35 years of accumulated crap. I have fantasies of opening the upstairs windows and just throwing stuff down into the skips.

BloodyHellBob · 13/10/2024 10:54

@SirChenjins oh me too!!

I'd exercise more, clear all the crap from my house, cook more, spend quality time with my DS and probably exercise even more Grin
