Do you have a community?

Hi,

I grew up in a religious fairly close knit religious community where almost everyone knew everyone. You’d see the same people at religious gatherings, weddings, funerals etc and you would know their entire families. Most peoole had a network of people to call on if they ever needed a second opinion or some help eg doctors, lawyers. I grew up to not be religious and I’ve had to distance myself from this community but sometimes I really miss it. I know various people from different places and I guess colleagues and parents in my children’s school are a sort of community but it’s still not the same thing. I don’t know if it’s a fairly unique experience or if anyone understands what I mean?

Yes, I do, more than one, in fact.

Church, the organisation I have been volunteering for years, the neighbours.
(Plus family).
