How much do you save a month ?

I am looking to start saving as I am now in a better financial position.

What is a good amount to save a month for someone who lives and works full time in London ?

Between me and DH we were looking to try and put down £1000-£1500.

Any tips / advise would be welcomed!

Thank you all 🙏🏻 I actually learned some very helpful tips! My original plan to save was for a house but I never took into consideration other kinds of savings for events throughout the year.

Just to add further, where are you all putting these savings into ? Big or small
