Smear test

Im due a smear test this year, last had one in 2021, im not exactly looking forward to it! Does anyone else dread these things? Any tips on how to not get anxious about it? I can’t really remember how much it hurts/ how long it takes?!

I've recently had mine. Really wasn't looking forward to it but I've had to have cells removed in the past so never miss one.
This time I had to.have it before work.which I was dreading as always a bir crampy after .
But this time it was amazing for want of a beer word it took longer to get undressed and dressed again then the smear test and I actually had to.ask the nurse if she had done it because although I could feel the speculum it wasn't open far so didn't hurt and I couldn't feel the sample being taken.

She was a very experienced nurse and made the whole experience not so bad.
