How much did your extension cost?

I know this is a ridiculous question and we need to just get quotes but before we even do that I am just interested to know.

Currently live in a 3 bedroom terrace house. Two very good size double rooms and one very small box room. We have two DC boy and girl who will one day need their own room. The box room is very small with a tiny window. We did plan to move however when viewing properties I have realised we would have to spend ALOT more. Most of the properties we viewed with 3 bedrooms I felt like we were just losing size in other ways.

Our other option is to make the attic into a third bedroom and also add an extra toilet (either in the attic or under the stairs). If you have done similar how much in the end did this cost? We live in the North West (I imagine different areas can vary the price greatly.)

We live northwest and we did a garage conversion, it cost £12k, that was 3 years ago.

50k but that was in 2005. Two storey extension. 2 upstairs bedrooms, extend kitchen downstairs, downstairs loo, small public room downstairs.

An online calculator will tell you what 50k is in today's money. We are in Scotland though where property is generally much cheaper.

£93 565 in today's money. I was going to guess £100k too
