Help with buffet quantities

We have a christening coming up in a few weeks. Guests will be approx 75 adults, 15 children. We have opted to just order cold buffet food from Waitrose to collect in the morning.

How much do we need? Does anyone have any experience please?

Trays of sandwiches come in 20 or 24 and also sausage rolls/cheese and onion rolls, sushi, little sweet tarts, fruit platters and we are having a cake made. Maybe tubs of chocolate/sweets out for the kids too

It's only for a couple of hours in the afternoon so I don't think anyone will be expecting loads but also don't want to run out too quickly! Tia

There will never be enough vegetarian options because uncle Kevin the professed carnivore will load his plate with them, so double up on those.

Little Stewie will have his hands all over everything and lick or poke food then leave it. So account for that too.

That's very true. We also have a lot of vegetarians on my OHs side anyway. I definitely want to over cater, at least with cold buffet bits people can be sent home with a tray if needs be

Six small triangle sandwiches per person, ie 1.5 normal sandwiches. Then enough for one piece of everything else per person. Probably more sweets than you think you'll need as well for the kids!

Thanks! That's something to work by

That's because some people forget that food like cheese sandwiches and onion bhajis are normal foods that everyone eats not special weirdy tokens for the two vegetarians at the event.
