Inappropriate comments from a 3 year old

I’ve been a watcher from a far but have decided to post today for some advice. I left my ex due to DV and he moved on very quickly 1 year ago. We have a 3 year old DC and I am concerned over a few comments DC has mentioned since he has met the new woman. I’m looking for good advice and similar experience. My ex partner is not a nice person. We will call his new partner “C”

First comment: “I have a poorly, C hurt my hand” and second “Daddy and C go bang bang bang”

What would you do? Thanks for reading :)

Be careful how you approach this. My 2 and a half year old often says "dada hurt me" or "mama hurt me" and it's been a lie.

I think you/we need more info.

"C hurt my hand"

"Oh no, what happened?"

"Daddy and C go bang bang bang"

"Do they? What are they doing when they go bang bang bang?"

These comments from a three year old could be absolutely anything, you need to ask follow up questions.

Sounds like the second she's either hearing them in the bedroom or fighting bad

Make sure you don't ask Leading questions

Mama19916 · 10/10/2024 21:32

I don’t ask any leading questions but I have asked his father who’s denied it all. I have asked my son what he means and he usually just repeats the phases. It’s difficult because I understand he’s 3 and could be repeating things he’s heard or have other intentional meanings.

They all go away together in 10 days and this is my main concern.
