Skoda Scala Monti Carlo 2023 is it a good car?

Hi I am looking to buy a second hand car and I am considering a Skoda Scala 2021-2023. Does anyone have one and how do they find it? I don’t see many around and so thought maybe they weren’t popular. Interested to hear any opinions. Thank you

Since the days of the Skoda / Lada jokes, Skoda has been taken over by Volkswagen. Can't see you going far wrong with it.

Skoda is a reliable manufacturer. They haven't made the Scala that long , and buyers probably either want the smaller citigo or fabia, or a octavia or suv rather than the medium scala. That might account for not seeing as many of them.

@Mairzydotes and @Paisleydad thank you both for your replies.

@Mairzydotes I hadn’t thought of those reasons for not seeing many around but it makes a lot of sense.

I need a reliable car for driving around two tall young men but at a reasonable price and the Scala seems to fit the bill. I am test driving next week! Very excited as I don’t have a car at the moment and I really am looking forward to the independence to go places not easily reached by public transport.

Also looking at a scala. Performs well and better value when compared to a Golf - which my other option.

Scala has a bigger boot and good legroom. Think it'd be fine for 2 in the back but a squeeze for 3 adults. Haven't bought it yet but think I will do. I found this review helpful

Thank you @RaphaelDidIt for the article it sounds positive about the Scala and that it would suit my needs and budget. The Golf is a bit over my budget but looks good too.

Hi just up dating in case it is helpful to anyone else. Well I went with the ŠKODA Scala. So far really liking it. Great boot size, and leg room in both front and back. Easy to drive and comfortable. So far so good.
