Dyshidrotic eczema/pompholyx - infected

I've had a flare up last couple of weeks that is fairly contained but insanely painful.

I tried hydrocortisone, then Eumovate, the latter of which I've been trying for the last 6 days.

It now looks like this - the inside of the patch does seem to be clearing but the outsides are very sore and cracked and have been bleeding this morning. The tissue surrounding it, including the knuckle joint, is sore.

I'm wondering if it's infected?

Any suggestions? Or failing that, just sympathies?! It's so fucking sore it's unreal.

The redness would make me wonder if it was infected.

Horrid isn’t it, I get it on my feet more than my hands and not as bad as you but the cracked skin can be painful.

Thanks @GrandesRandonnees.

Yes it's really horrid. I also have a patch between my toes that appeared at the same time, creating the biggest bubble of a blister. I've never had a blister like that before. Urgh.

Ouch - I’m currently trying to get on top of eczema on my hands - that definitely looks infected to me - you probably need some of the cream that contains the antibiotic bit too. Sympathies.
i wear white cotton gloves when painful and cut the end of the fingers off so I can still function.
