For those of us old enough to remember this radio station, it’s back and available on an app.
Playing 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. It’s a blast from the past for me!

Oh wow, love this memory! I listened to this non-stop in my university halls in Manchester. “I listen to long wave radio Atlantic 252, Manchester’s number one choice for dance and RnB, now give me my money!” 😁

They played Pulp Disco 2000 endlessly!

My dad went ballistic because I ran up a £700 phone bill calling them for that stupid £1000 Cash Call!!!! Never won it fgs. Shameless shower.

I remember Caesar the Geezer the late night radio DJ on this station. I think he was considered to be a "shock jock" at the time 🤣

Had to listen to that bloody station every morning on the way to school and I hated it—the same songs over and over again. Didn't matter that they were bangers, it irritated the hell out of me.

A couple of years later I was a devotee of the far superior Radio 1 breakfast show—Chris Evans and then Mark and Lard.

@DoreenonTill8 that was the TUNE at the Primary 6 disco at the end of the Aberfeldy residential field trip! Also the one that went "all that she wants..is another baby..."

I used to think the DJs were actually broadcasting from the middle of the Atlantic, the signal was so bad which I think gave me that impression! Loved it!

I was actually listening to Atlantic 252 in my bedroom in Sep 2001 (getting ready for Freshers week, first year uni) and heard them say that "something terrible had happened in New York" and that everyone should turn on the TV.

Oh I loved it. My lasting-loop-memory is Amy Grant's baby baby. It came on the local radio station last week and I was telling everyone that was the theme tune to Atlantic 252, but 'everyone' was significantly younger than me so …

Now there's a blast from the past! Used to listen to this all the time on the radio in mum's Mini Metro just after I passed my driving test.

Wow I remember Atlantic 252 and all the songs mentioned but before that I listened to Radio Luxembourg (208!), anyone else remember? I listened between about 1984 and 1987 as Radio 1 played indie stuff in the evenings which I wasn’t into then! Loved it.
