Hi,

Can anyone recommend some quality boys school shoes or black trainer style that are cheaper than clarks?

Sainsbury's Toezone.

Adidas Tensaur. You can get them in all black, they seem to be indestructible and are £23-28 a pair depending on what size you need.

Barefoot shoes that allow feet room to exist without being squished. Bobux. VIVOBAREFOOT. Wildlings. Camper.

I second this! They're great!

Skechers.

I agree with PP about the Adidas tensaur, we switched to them years ago and they are indestructible!

Sainsbury's toe zone

Hands down best shoes - we no longer shop at Clark's as these last far better

OP needs something cheaper than Clarks.

DD is a shoe destroyer! Couldn’t get to Clarks in time this year so we’ve gone for a pair of Hush Puppies from the Diechmann website and so far they are holding up well. Cost £35 I think but got PE trainers at the same time as part of a buy 1, get 1 half price offer so both pairs for less than £50. Fingers crossed they last but 6 weeks in and there’s not a mark on them!

Another recommendation for Sainsbury's Toe Zone. I'm very impressed with how well they last.

SophiaSW1 · 09/10/2024 12:47

Have you looked at the Clark's outlet on line? They are so much cheaper.

I've used shoesforkids.co.uk for many years. They have a good assortment of styles that are sort of end of line etc. so proper brands including Clark's but way cheaper, although not all sizes available.
you do need to know your child's size and pay postage and returns but it's a family run business and I found their service really good.

Another vote for Sainsbury’s
