Nostalgic Foods

Recently found Salt & Shake crisps ( used to be Smiths, now made by Walkers) & they took me right back. I remember how thrilled I used to get when I found the little blue sachet of salt & it was still pretty exciting! The crisps are much tastier than the other Walkers ones too. Also seen Findus crispy pancakes in Iceland but haven’t tried them yet. I used to like the chicken & mushroom ones. Would love to see Instant Whip back in the shops, especially the butterscotch flavour. Yummy!
Anyone have good memories of particular foods?

Is instant whip the same as Angel Delight ? I still but butterscotch Angel Delight .
I miss the little tins of Toastie Toppers , cheese and ham or chicken and mushroom . I know it looked terrible , but toasted under the grill until it bubbled and burnt the roof of your mouth was the best.

GoldenPineapple15 Angel Delight is a different texture - Instant Whip was really smooth & tasted much less artificial as well. Ooh yes Heinz Toast Toppers - loved them!

Supermousse

All eaten whilst watching either Crown Court or Hadleigh 🤣🤣

And M&S food (when it was St Michael) sold a lush minced beef and onion short crust pastry roll type pie which we had as a weekly treat for dinner when we were kids, it was the highlight of my week.

Mint chocolate Angel Delight, bought it in the 70s, would love to buy it again.

Also Birds Eye mousse, half lemon, other half orange. Another 70s dessert.

I actually bought some crispy pancakes yesterday, no idea what came over me as I haven't eaten them since I was in single digits.. 30 odd years ago!
I did make them ( can hardly call it cooking!) , my God, they were every bit of bloomin lovely as I remember.

Also see Cheese and Onion Discos! I can never find them unless in the multipacks and I'm not sure which odd ball is eating Salt n Vinegar when the cheese ones are a thing!
