I heard the phrase of doom about an hour ago... I feel sick 🤢

They're now dozing on the sofa, but I'm awake, in pain and wishing it was morning!

Post menopausal 4.30am wake up. No point trying to get back to sleep as even if I did, I'd feel rotten.
Sat with a nice cup of coffee and two warm dogs next to me, enjoying the peace and quiet.

Because it's not true. It's not works fault, it's the system itself and my inability to allow myself to do a bad job.

The actual job is unmanageable and can't be managed within the govts policy.

The system actually relies on people going in, doing a good job because they're dedicated and then people leaving. That means then that we as managers get to tell the stakeholders 'there will be a break in service while we recruit'

Repeat ad infinitum.

The whole system relies on this.

Obviously it OUGHT to rely on retaining staff but there isn't the money to do that unfortunately

I now need to give my boss the opportunity to do that, to say to the stakeholders that things will be difficult for a while until we recruit to my position

That is her ONLY option
