Vinted Help!!

I’m fairly new to vinted and have recently started selling.
I sold a small kids clothing bundle today and have printed off the yodel label.

The yodel label says up to 500g but it weighs more like 900g. I thought small parcels were up to 1kg as they seem to be with inpost.

Do you think I’ll be ok to take a chance and just post it? If not what shall I do? 🙈

Were you selling the clothes as an actual bundle and did you select small package for the listing ? Or did the buyer select a few of your items and buy them together ?

Did vinted select the postage size for you when the buyer bought the bundle?

Oh, right I see what you mean now.

I have sent things before that were 200g over the postage weight and it was fine, but I have no idea if that much would be considered ok.

I'd take a chance personally, I've never weighed what I've put in a parcel.

I don’t actually know but I’d just contact the buyer, briefly explain the situation and say that you don’t want them to be stung for additional delivery costs at their end, and offer them the opportunity to cancel and rebuy with an amended parcel size on the new listing.The extra postage is unlikely to be much more (I don’t think there’s a huge difference in postage costs for small and medium on Vinted).

I’d also say that I’d completely understand if they wish to cancel altogether and that under those circumstances you’ll of course amend any feedback to 5 stars. You could offer them a slight discount as a gesture of goodwill. Most people on Vinted seem fairly reasonable if you communicate well.

For reference, small parcels are up to 500g, medium 1kg & large up to 2kg.
Vinted normally set the bar for bundles tho.

Don't worry OP. Postage is set by Vinted and they will cover any shortfall if there is any. The parcel will get to the buyer no problem
