Pregnant after abortion

hi, I had a medical abortion 4 weeks and 1 day ago.. I also started my adhd meds in the last 3 weeks and have been abit away with the fairy’s… me and my boyfriend stupidly had sex using the pull out method after week 2 I can’t remember when exactly but I assumed all would be ok as I was still slightly bleeding! Anyway I’ve done a test and it’s really positive .. anyone had this? Is it left over hormones or failed termination or a new pregnancy I’m so confused and feel so stupid

I do apologise, however (to you, OP, not to whoever chided me), if you felt my post was unsupportive. But your posts did read to me as if you hadn't been seeing condoms as an option up to now, and they would have prevented the doubts you're going through. I'd keep an eye on things IIWY, although you've been reassured for now, and see someone if your period doesn't turn up. I've had a lot of miscarriages and never a positive test that long.

A condom wasn’t an option in that moment unfortunately but going forward we have definitely spoke about it and are prepared to get some! We’ve spoke about many options, he is anti getting a vasectomy so it’s on me or he needs to except he has to wear a condom as I don’t want to go through this again! We are to old to be having babies but if it has happened then i won’t even consider another termination it was more his chose last time than mine and he is prepared that i wont do it again! I just didn’t realise it was a risk I wasn’t thinking clear at all! I’m still not sure I’m not but I will just have to wait now

I am waiting to be sterilised, I have been on the list for over 1 year now! Unfortunately I can’t have anything with hormones it really messes with me, I just had a copper coil but after about 8 months it caused me problems which apparently is quite common so I had to have it out and was using an app to track my ovulation which wasn’t reliable! My only option right now is the mini pill as it has low hormones just to keep me going till my sterilisation when ever that may be!

Condom?

I really don’t need a lecture about contraception, I am aware how stupid I was I’m also aware of what I need to do going forward! As stated I’ve been on medication the last few weeks and have not had the best thinking process going on. I’m now off the medication until they fix my dosage and I’m thinking clearer and i feel like a complete fool that I could potentially be in this situation again so soon after! It was a really hard decision to make and if it’s happened again I won’t be terminating!

My mental state for one, if you read the post I wasn’t in a good place on medication! I’ve come off it now and am thinking clearer! He is the one who wanted the abortion and I felt it was right at the time but I never wanted to do it and won’t be doing it again! There is always a whole Situation going on in people’s life’s which I why they make the decisions they do, if it makes sense to them then that’s all that matters! It still isn’t ideal but I don’t want to keep aborting it doesn’t sit right with me
