Asking advice for my sister as she doesn't do mn.
Sisters Pil bought a timeshare in 2000 in an area of Spain.
Her fil died in 2001 mil continued to use it until she was too
ill to travel in 2018. Each year she paid the maintenance fee.
Fast forward to 2023 mil died. This timeshare was not mentioned
in the will.
My bil contacted a company about being released from the contract
(No family want to use it)
In April of this year the solicitors told him that he just needs to fill in
a form which he did and it would then be registered with the notary in
Spain. A fee was paid for this service.
But this has not happened.
The solicitors have since then ignored any emails, letters or phonecalls.
The company are well known in this field and have good reviews.
Has anyone else been able to get released from a timeshare contract.
