Need a hotel, within hours from London with hot tub and swimming pool

Any ideas for a hotel that fits this criteria for a minibreak?

We don't want to travel more than 2.5 hours from London. We'd like somewhere with a swimming pool and jacuzzi. Somewhere nice that feels like a treat to stay there. We'll have the kids with us.

Thank you!

Cambridge is a great place to visit, about an hour from London. This hotel doesn't have a hot tub, but has a pool. This hotel location is good as you can get the train into Cambridge city centre, and the rate is cheaper than staying in a hotel in the middle of the city.

Novotel Cambridge North

The Novotel Cambridge is perfectly positioned for both work and leisure. Visit the website for details.

Calcot Manor in the Cotswolds

A lot of the country is within 2 and a half hours of London and hotels with pools & spas are ten a penny.

Where would you like to visit? City or countryside? History or adventure? Shopping or pampering? What do you want to do the rest of the weekend?

I have to agree with this.
You have a lot of areas available to you.
Are you looking for a country or town break?
A spa experience, country house or urban chic?

Yes stayed here in the summer with kids and they loved the pool. There is a jacuzzi area in the pool that we sat in while the kids played.

2.5 hours.

Is that by train or by car?

That is a lot of the UK.

I was also going to suggest Cambridge. We stayed at the Hilton Curios Collection the Fellowes House a couple of years ago and it was lovely. I got a good deal via booking.com

There are some lovely hotels in and around Surrey / Brighton. Need more info about what you actually want to do when you get there

Four seasons hampshire is amazing with kids but it’s rural, IDK if that’s what you’re looking for? Also expensive but you don’t mention a budget…

soupfiend · 07/10/2024 14:06

It depends what side of London you're on surely

You can spend an hour crawling up the M25 to the exit you need with current speed restrictions in place plus weight of traffic

Unless you mean by train OP

AntiHop · 07/10/2024 19:12

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Coast would be my first choice. Second choice country house type place.

We'd be driving.
