Would behaviours such as starving yourself and then also binge eating and purging make you feel low in mood?

Yes of course.

I think so, I feel more balanced if I eat well.

Have you been to your GP about your eating?

Toastedpickle · 06/10/2024 18:41

Low in mood is an understatement. Similar behaviours totally changed who I was. Please get help asap - you have an eating disorder. Nothing good can come from doing all of this, you will only feel worse and worse until you can’t remember who you really are anymore.

Yes, food restriction, purging (vomiting or laxative use) and binge eating can all have negative effects on mood. They can also negatively affect your cognitive ability (thinking and intellectual abilities) and create personality changes - particularly starvation.
