Menopause/Hospital

So a family member recently had a scan on the womb (due to menopause or should I say possible menopause issues). They have just received a letter to say the hospital want to see them again in around a weeks time back at the hospital for a consultation....

My mind is going crazy thinking of all the negatives, anyone help shed some light on why they may want to see them again in person at the hospital?

Usually they just send the results over to the GP and you find out from them.

Thanks 🌟

Presumably because they saw something that needs further checks or surgery.

They might need a polyp to be removed via hysteroscopy. Or a hysteroscopy to see why the uterine lining is too thick.

This is quite normal BTW. I've had loads of uterine scans and a hysteroscopy d&c. It's normal to go for a follow up appt.
