hello Everyone , just been placed in temp accommodation at a hotel with my toddler. I find it so strange there’s no reception they just gave me keys and left me here 😕 surely everyone should sign in and out ? There is cameras.

anyway, wanted to know how long they keep you here for ? Any stories to uplift my mood 😅

Are you getting out of a domestic situation? So council helping with costs?

I'd get onto them on Monday or OOH. Yes it does sound odd no-one's on hand but for now you're safe with your child.

Op have you got any cooking facilities??

I have my own bathroom and shared cooking facilities and a break up well divorce 🥲 I’ll be okay me and my toddler are safe just thought people would be a bit more strict here feel like half these people don’t even stay the night 😂😂😂 are they even homeless

Many years ago now I was put into a hotel by the council I was there for 2 months then they moved me to a family hostel and I was there 6 months before I got a flat.

I was in a hotel for 4 months with a newborn and the only reason I got out as quick as that was because I looked at private rentals. Thankfully I found a HA one that was out of my councils area so was able to apply myself. Honestly there were people there who'd been there for over a year. I guess it depends what area you're in. Good luck, they're soul destroying places
