Moving to Norfolk

We are thinking of moving to Norfolk. We currently live on the Wirral, north west. Close to Liverpool. Prior to that London and Kent. I am originally from the Wirral, husband Kent, Otford.
We are looking for a more rural way of life, my best friend lives near Cromer, Thorpe Market, small hamlet.
We love period properties. It seems a huge move, I love yoga, pilates, walks in countryside and husband loves sea fishing. Some of beaches seem nice ie Cromer, but I do not like isolation.
We have also found Wirral too wet and windy. Kent was drier. People have said Norfolk driest county in UK.
Just looking at some pointers and how other people have gone about relocating. Schools are not important as children grown up and we will be retiring but very social people.
Thank you for any help

Norfolk is quite dry.

I used to live in Lancashire and there used to be definitely a lot less rain.

It's a very different way of life.

If it is dry, double bonus. We are looking for a different way of life but we do like to be active and lots of hobbies.
