Rubberised coats

I just wondered what people's experience is of wearing the rubberised coats that are in the shops this year?
I am thinking of buying one but wondered if they are comfortable to wear or feel a bit close and clammy if it is raining but not very cold?

Depends. I had one from Papaya which was a soft, pliable rubberised fabric and I wore it to death. Couple of years ago bought similar from amazon that's quite stiff, thicker fabric - but it's waterproof and windproof so you pays your money etc

Coincidentally I've just this week bought the Papaya one again from Vinted for £3 😃

The problem arises when it rains heavily and the rain runs off the coat onto your legs, particularly if you are wearing a heavy fabric like denim. Your top half will be nice and dry and your bottom half will be soggy all day.

I have one for standing in playground in pouring rain (yay).

It is not breathable and so it is very easy to overheat in it.

You have to be quite thoughtful about what you wear underneath.

I have one I got from Tesco and I love it! Don't have a problem with the rain running off it, and it's so comfortable

I have had a Zara one for quite a while. Great for keeping wind off, but in heavy rain there is a bit of run off. But it’s a neutral colour and useful in that it goes with a great deal of my clothing.
