When you were looking to buy a house at what point did you make an offer

My house is on the market and someone came for a second viewing today two days after their first viewing and this time bought their kids.

Would they have put an offer in at this viewing if they wanted it?

Not at the viewing I wouldn't have thought.

It sounds as if they are keen, but would quite likely want to discuss it and put an offer in on Monday, to the office.

It will depend on the market in your area, and in your price range as to how urgently they do it.

@NewName24 thank-you. I am really impulsive so was thinking if they didn't put an offer in immediately they probably wouldn't but not everyone is like me I guess!!

Personally I would want to wait a few days before offering. When I was looking though properties were selling on day of first viewing so I had to learn to be quick.

I would offer later that day or the next day after the viewing.

Did our second viewing and put in an offer the next day, once we'd had time to discuss what we wanted to offer, what our highest amount would be if our first offer was rejected.

I did a first viewing and went straight to the estate agents to put the offer in. I knew I wanted the house and as it happened four other offers were made so I did the right thing.

Husband didn't even see the house! Not sure if everyone acts like this though.

They’ll do it through the estate agent who might take a bit of time to get to it.

last thing Friday so hopefully they will put an offer in on Monday or Tuesday then, fingers crossed 🤞

I did a second viewing on Friday afternoon, got home and put an offer in. I am impulsive though, some people are more reserved!

It depends, maybe they are doing 2nd viewings with kids on a couple of houses before deciding.

@Littletreefrog yes I reckon he has a few to look at which is fair enough, it's a buyers market here where I live right now

We viewed our house on a Friday, went back on Saturday with the kids and offered on the Monday. Your potential buyers don't seem that keen to me unfortunately.
