What the hell was that? (disgusting d&v)

Earlier was sitting on the sofa innocently watching TV when all of a sudden I felt sick - started rushing to toilet only to violently projectile vomit AND at the same time what felt like a bucket load of diarrhoea flooded out of me and down my legs. The vomiting was so forceful some of it even came out of my nose and we won't even dwell on the fate of my knickers

Took ages to clear up, shower etc. and now I just have stomach cramps feel shivery as if slightly shocked. Tucked up back on the sofa with a bucket and a huge folded up towel underneath me just in case.

I have some kind of bug which may well be covid but surely that wasn't a symptom of that?

Any idea what could come on so suddenly and violently?

Could be norovirus. That can start suddenly and can be bad. Hope you feel better soon.

Norovirus can make you feel generally unwell, headaches, weakness, fever, so possibly that. I hope you improve soon. Try to keep hydrated.

I had the same experience with Norovirus. Came on suddenly...both ends. Unfortunately my head was down the loo when the other end fired....

Likely norovirus as its violent like that - I recall being happy my loo was next to the bath when I had it .... grim!

I had similar with Covid just spurted vomit and fortunately for me filled my stoma bag in seconds

Half an hour after posting it happened again at least this time I had a bucket .. feeling horrible

@CoastalCalm I'm sire there are plenty of times you curse the stoma bag.. must have been nice to bless it for a change

Could it be something you have eaten?I always thought that noro was a time of pretty much non-stop action 😔

Norovirus can come on that quickly - both ends at the same time, and violently.
