Splitting 30 funded hours..

Hi everyone,
Ds is due to start nursey Sept 2025. I know it's a long way off but need to start thinking about it now.
He is at a private nursery at the moment..
I work in school but I finish at 12 and although it's convenient for me to take him with me it's not convenient driving back to collect him.
My local nursery starts at 8.45 but I need to be at work for 8.30, DH is working from home 3 days a week so he is able to drop those days. But I'm stuck for the other 2 days and no breakfast club option available.
So I'm thinking he does 3 days at the local nursery and 2 days where I am.
Apparently the 30 hours can be split for 2 different settings. Anyone able to shed some light on this.. can it be 2 local authority nurseries.

Yes it can.

Yes, we split ours. Ds does one day at the school nursery where he will go next year and 2 days at another local preschool.

I used to use 12 hours at the term time preschool and 12 hours at private nursery (this was a few years ago, nursery only let you use 6 hours a day)

I had to be very clear with nursery I only wanted to use the hours in term time. I paid in full for the holidays. Otherwise I would have got totally confused!

Yes it can be split but some settings insist it's split mornings and afternoons rather than days
