Transferring a small a amount of ££ (Europe to UK) with no / low fees?

A friend in a European country asked me to buy her something and mail it to her as the UK company does not ship there. Postage and cost of item total approx £50.
Can anyone recommend a method of transferring relatively small amounts of money which does not incur big fees for the receiver (me)?
