I cannot get insurance at the moment. I have not been told I cannot travel.

I am 45. No history of serious medical problems. The only thing I would want the insurance for is if I got injured and needed medical expenses covered.

I am going to Spain for 3 days.

Still doesn't excuse not having insurance.

I'm not excusing it. I buy insurance. I just find it irritating that it's no longer nice cheap insurance!

Yep, I am sure I have that to come. At the moment we are ok but obviously that won't always be the case, my parents are in their late 60s and their insurance is now getting expensive due to very basic illnesses and the normal stuff as you get older.

It's also a minefield about what is included. For instance my DS dislocated his knee, usually its fine as it would just be an injury that has resolved without surgery but now I need to review it as they have now decided he does need surgery.

I use Martin Lewis recommendations for insurance, the current one just asks what medication you are taking and if you are awaiting a hospital appointment. Possibly if you had a cancer diagnosis within 4 years.
