fed up, so fed up

just that really. Peri-meno, tearful, weight gain. Work is dead and I'm sitting here today with literally nothing to do. Can't be arsed. Fed-up. Trying to diet but just want to stuff my face right now. No food in the house other than DC treats. I'd take a nice lunch/savoury dish right now, don't want the sweets/treats. Been exercising loads but not lost any weight.

Just needed to get that off my chest and a virtual hug plse

I feel the same. Have an unmumsnetty hug 🤗 the feeling fed up. Tired. Low mood mixed with rage. Wanting to stuff my face all the time. Hopefully someone who is out the other side will be along with some productive advice but all I feel like doing is getting into bed and pulling the cover over my head indefinitely.

During the week I found myself just staring at the computer screen 😂 I had this massive pile of papers to process and I just couldn’t muster the energy.

@MammaGisAF sending hugs back at ya. I have also sat just staring at the screen all week, that and and my home to-do list. I just got turned down for some travel insurance as I have cancer. It's grade 1 and at the moment it looks like no spread.

Getting back into bed and staying there all day (with snacks!) sounds very appealing right now

Try AllClear. They would insure me when nobody else would

@LostittoBostik unfortunately they quoted me £900 for a 3 day trip to Europe. The trip only cost £200.

Oh gosh sorry to hear about your diagnosis, no wonder you feel like hiding from the world.
Yes to snacks. Lots of them. I think it’s perfectly ok to hibernate for a bit and to acknowledge not every days is sunshine and roses.
I would love to hear tips from anyone who has come out the other side. There must be a better plan than the old ‘drink loads of water and get plenty of exercise’ blah blah.
