We have a Melissa in the family. As an adult she's mostly known as Mel now. The name goes nicely with Jordan, but unless you intend to have a double barrelled name then most people won't even know what her middle name is, so if you're happy with it then use it.

Melissa is very pretty and I like Mel for short. Not keen on Jordan though, makes me think of Katie Price. Apologies if it's your surname and not the middle name.
