Can I turn off an Apple laptop without the passcode?

Dp has gone out and I've just come back from work.

From outside the house I could hear this fucking loud alarm and I can see the neighbours are super pissed off (we are in a terraced house).

Dp's MacBook is sounding the world's loudest alarm. I've unplugged it from the direct speaker but it is still echoing on every fucking speaker in the house. I have now unplugged all speakers but the MacBook appears to have doubled its volume.

I have buried it under 4 blankets and it's still v loud.

Dp is not picking up his phone. Is there any way I can kill it?

You can put it to sleep by clicking the Apple in the top corner and click sleep, that's if it's the same as my iMac, does that work or there is an option to shut down in the list also

I only know how to work a Windows laptop

I think he sets timers and things and for some reason it sounds on his computer?

Like his phone rings on there too!

We had a carbon monoxide alarm squirelled away in the pantry years ago. My Mum thought it was a police car siren on Interceptors. She brought it through to me screaming away.. I couldn't get the front off as the screw was warped. I ran next door holding it at arms length... Mr NDN heard it and came rushing into the kitchen. I threw it and him and yelled "MAKE IT STOP!!!" And fled into the sitting room with Mrs NDN...
Mr NDN had to muffle the alarm with a tea towel so he could get the front off and batteries out!!

There is something quite awful when you're stuck with a screaming loud noise! I'm glad Mr and Mrs NDN could help!
