Hi folks, can anyone give me any help?
I bought an item from Amazon.com site last weekend. I live in the UK. Couldn’t get this item on the UK site, only from America, but it offered worldwide shipping. Got an email to say that it would be delivered tomorrow.
Received an email this afternoon to say that delivery had not been successful so USPS had dropped it off “at a nearby store” for collection. However when I’ve checked the tracking - it hadn’t reached my home address - but the nearest town some 20 miles away. No other information on the tracking as to where the thing is… just available for pickup at a store in Preston. Link to contact USPS but this is a phone number in the USA so they’re no help as it has clearly reached the town next to me but not got to my home. I’ve no idea where it is and no way, seemingly of finding out. I’ve tried emailing Amazon but it’s the US store so I’m not hopeful.
Just wondered if anyone else has a clue as to what will happen now? If I can’t collect it as I don’t know where it is - will it be sent back? It wasn’t cheap. I’m kicking myself now for buying it but it’s something that I couldn’t get in the UK and Amazon are usually so reliable and did international shipping I thought it would be okay. I’ve googled Amazon pick-up points in Preston by there’s loads of them. I’m stumped.
Thanks for any help.
