I am so fed up

I’ve changed my username for this post.

I am feeling really quite down at the moment. My job is dire. So dire. I am applying for new ones but not getting anywhere.

I am overweight by at least 4 stone. I lost about 20 pounds earlier this year but since then have totally lost my mojo. Not doing any exercise and eating crap.

I am also finding myself drinking and vaping every night, as in 1-2 glasses of wine, sitting alone on my sofa. I want to stop this.

If you have any good ideas on how to get myself out of this slump then please post them!!

Give up booze as it's a depressant.

Keep applying for new jobs - you'll find something.

Get some exercise even if it means taking the stairs Instead of the lift or getting off a stop early.

Get a good multivitamin and vitamin D. Eat nutritiously and drink more water.

Get a hobby that uses your fingers, so you’re not looking to fill them with wine and snacks at night.
Get back to the gym.

@candlewhickgreen do you think it’s better just go teetotal with the booze?

I am supposed to take vitamin D daily as a blood test a few years ago showed very low levels and I had to take a super high dose for a week. I probably take vitamin D maybe twice a week. That’s all I take though.

Take Vit D every day. Yes just give up drink, at least for the time being. You'll start to feel better almost immediately. Replace it with sparkling water and cordial or something you enjoy like tonic water.

You'll notice a big difference if your diet is full of fruit, vegetables, pulses, lean protein and include fish.

I’d advise you to start a thread asking for advice on your CV and job hunting, there are some very knowledgeable people on here. AIBU gets most traffic.

Goodluck.

I’m really down too! Here if you need someone to talk to. I’m finding life just isn’t that enjoyable anymore.

and I just managed to get a parking fine on the school pick up to top the day off.
