Please keep me company waiting for doctor to phone

It's a pretty standard medication review but they've given me a 4 hour slot during which they might phone 2-6pm.

I feel like I can't do anything much at all while I'm waiting in case I suddenly have to stop plus I need to keep the phone line free for 4 hours. Has to be landline as our mobile reception is awful.

Nearly 2 hours into slot and I'm bored. Done some work but can't get into anything substantial. To top it all think I've got covid and all I really want to do is sleep but I don't want to miss the call because it took me ages to get appointment and without review they may stop prescription.

Four hours... just seems such a huge slot

Tell me a joke or someting please

I was going to do a full routine of cheesy Doctor Doctor jokes but that wouldn't be kind.

How's the Covid going? When did you come down with it?

Classic she phoned about a minute after I hit post on this!!

I think I've had covid for a few days now - sore throat, earache, cough, shivers, generally blocked up and the worst headache I've had since last time I had covid Grin

@redtrain123 I don't know what is big, red and eats rocks?

@Lovetrain Sounds like I missed a good bit of entertainment... glad no one is asking how old I look because today I reckon about 85 and the rest - shadows under my eyes are so big they'd be good backdrop in a flipping horror movie

ETA - she was possibly the most pleasant and kind doctor I've ever encountered and I've been lucky enough to see some really good ones.

Didn’t seem contentious to be either. I’ve seen far worse posts left alone, especially about celebrities (some seem fair game to mn admin, other you. CAn’t touch with a barge pole). Wonder who reported it.
