Constant noise in my ears

Not sure how to explain it. Only that when it's quiet, no TV or radio, kids in bed, I have a constant high pitched noise. It's kind of wavering, two tone, but always there. I wouldn't call it ringing as such.

Is it tinnitus? Or normal?

Sounds like tinnitus. It can happen for no reason but is usually associated with hearing loss. Best to see an audiologist

Have you had Covid, OP. I have terrible tinnitus ever since my first bout of Covid....

Canwehavesunshineplease · 02/10/2024 21:20

I have this, I get it pretty much every day and have done for the past 6 months or so, it’s really annoying at times but I seem to be getting used to it, I presume it’s tinnitus

Yep, tinnitus. See your gp. Get referral to ENT specialist.

In my experience they do nothing unless you have hearing loss. How long have you had it? I’ve had it on and off for years.

You have to choose to ignore it.. tune into your breath instead..
