Lurgy tips!

Can feel I’m coming down with the dreaded lurgy - got a busy few days that I can’t be poorly for. Please tell me your quick remedies?! I’m drinking honey and lemon, nurofen cold and flu, Echinachea… anything else I can throw in?!

Lots and lots of vitamin c. That's usually my go to. You can't OD on vitamin C so I tend to hammer it when I'm getting ill.

Metatone.

Caffiene, just down it and push through. It might not be that bad? DH had a horrible cold, really unwell I've caught it from him and apart from a stuffy nose and being tired I've been fine.

Metatone.

Oooh yeah. Metatone. Totally forgot about this. I couldn't get any last year. Think it's been discontinued but there is a similar product, the name eludes me but they sell it in boots and Holland and Barrett. I just asked an assistant. Great stuff

Thank you everyone. Does metatone help when you actually have the cold or more afterwards?

Both tbh. The sooner you get taking it the quicker it can boost your immune system

@NoEscapingMe yeah I can’t seem to find metatone anywhere, don’t suppose you remember the name of the similar product?

Saline spray to rinse your nose.
And honestly I swear by an alcoholic drink before bed, but understand it's not going to be for everyone. My choice is a very large Bailey's. No mixers that contain caffeine, the idea is to get a solid night's sleep.

Yes. It's Floradix

@NoEscapingMe ah thank you! Did they just rebrand it or is it a different product? Does it work just as well?

The Holland and Barrett assistant told me it's pretty much the same thing. We used that and lemsip capsules. Was poorly from r 13 days and we are both usually pretty good at shaking these things off. It definitely helps
